From Passion To Profession
For as long as I can remember, I have always been entranced by the power of the written word. What started as a lifelong love of books and storytelling eventually evolved into a Bachelor’s Degree in English. I don’t just see copy as text on a page, I see the way it builds connection, drives brand loyalty, and fuels business growth. It is what inspired me to create an on-boarding training manual when I worked in the call center in my first corporate role at House Call Home Inspection and Pest Control. It’s what has allowed me to become the Fractional Creative Director that I am today.
The Corporate Foundation
Over the last five years, my roles have evolved across multiple disciplines. Working for a nationally franchised company like House Call gave me an in-depth understanding of enterprise scale, brand guidelines, and corporate systems. My background in corporate marketing and technical writing means I don’t just write pretty words—I build strategic marketing systems that actually convert.
The Birth of Novelty Marketing and Design
Following my corporate career, I transitioned into full-time consulting, working with diverse clients across graphic design, conversion copywriting, social media infrastructure, and digital marketing. Along the way, I mastered Instructional Design while building eLearning compliance programs with MYCA Learning. This unique blend of visual design, clear communication, and educational strategy is exactly why I founded Novelty Marketing and Design. Out of all the titles I’ve held, my favorite will always be storyteller.
